The Mela Defense Whitening Cream is a tyrosinase inhibitor which helps suppress overactive melanin. It contains 5% Tranexamic Acid and 3% Niacinamide.

Tranexamic Acid helps recover damaged cells and is a very effective tyrosinase inhibitor. Tyrosinase is a key enzyme involved in the synthesis of melanin. By inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase, it can help regulate melanin production and address issues related to hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. Niacinamide has been shown to inhibit the transfer of melanosomes (pigment containing organelles) from melanocytes and keratinocytes, leading to the decrease in melanin production.
